In 2015, through a USDA Specialty Crop Block grant from the Kentucky Alliance will expand the Seed to Sale program to four additional sites across Kentucky. This program enables Clubs to create collaborative partnerships with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, local UK Agriculture Extension office, chefs, local hospitals, healthcare providers, and community leaders. The Seed to Sale program also engages the wider community through community events such as cooking demonstrations and nutrition workshops.
Our vision is to have a Seed to Sale program offered at all Boys & Girls Clubs across the state. The Kentucky Alliance is looking for Seed to Sale program partners. With your help we can maintain, sustain and expand the Seed to Sale program's lasting impact!
Become a partner today by making an in-kind donation, monetary donation and/or volunteering at one of our Club gardens. Together, we will create a new generation of farmers, entrepreneurs and agriculture enthusiasts!
